Wild times

Editor's note: Zhang Xiaomeng, an award-winning photographer who spent more than 10 days following wild animals in Kenya, talks about his experience in Africa.
As a photographer, my dream was to travel to Africa to take photos of wild animals. I was enough lucky to fulfill that dream.
When I was close to them, tourists and vehicles were everywhere. In such a noisy and busy environment, wildebeest dare not cross a river; lions dare not catch or hunt. It seems animals and humans share a friendly world, but we definitely cause disruption. This made me feel sad.
Time flew by. My angles were restricted because I was confined to the car, and to some extent it was our African driver that dictated what I photographed. I couldn't talk with him to give me a better view because we could not understand each other.
