HONG KONG - A man was arrested in a downtown area of Hong Kong after approaching a patrolling policeman and trying to snatch his gun, local media reported Tuesday.
The incident occurred on Queen's Road Central in the Sheung Wan area at about 9 p.m. on Monday. When the 39-year-old man was walking head on towards two police officers who were on patrol, he tried to grab one of the officer's service revolver.
The officer protected his weapon with one hand while trying to push the man away with another. The man was later pinned down and arrested by the officer and his partner.
The man did not remove the officer's gun from the holster, and no one was injured in the incident, according to the police.
