One dead, one missing in Chongqing torrent

Twenty-eight districts and counties in Chongqing have been hit with torrential rains, with one person dead and another missing. The downpour has affected more than 60,000 people, according to the local flood and drought control headquarters.
Water levels in 12 small rivers in the region have risen past their warning lines, the headquarters said.
As of 10 am on Thursday, the government has relocated 2,035 people. The heavy rains have ruined more than 1,250 hectares of crops and damaged 450 residences.
