Fifth CIIE advertises rehab, elderly care subsection Release date： 2022-04-24 Source：China International Import Expo Bureau
A promotional event for the rehabilitation and elderly care subsection at the medical equipment and healthcare products exhibition area of the fifth China International Import Expo was held online on April 20.
The subsection, which is expected to occupy 4,000 square meters this year, has to date attracted the participation of companies including Sivantos Group, a hearing aids manufacturer, Bewatec, a German supplier of hardware and software solutions for hospitals, and Ossur, an Iceland-based producer of non-invasive equipment for orthopedics.
China, which is home to the most elderly people in the world, has an ever-increasing demand for rehabilitation and elderly care services, said Zhang Weimin, assistant president of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
Since its debut at the second CIIE in 2019, the rehab and elderly care subsection has featured many advanced products, technologies and services, said Zhang. The subsection will work with organizations like the Ministry of Civil Affairs and China Disabled Persons’ Federation to hold high-level sideline events this year to create more benefits for exhibitors and purchasers, he added.
Sivantos China Marketing Director Zhang Feifei said the company plans to expand its booth at the fifth CIIE and will showcase the latest products to help people with hearing loss.
The Shanghai SCP Channel Assistive Products Industry Service and Promotion Center said they will build an online global product base to provide information for domestic purchasers and dealers, and to connect Chinese buyers with overseas suppliers.
