The China International Import Expo Bureau recently held an online roadshow to attract exhibitors from the Americas to the fifth CIIE, which will take place from Nov 5 to 10 in Shanghai.
During the roadshow, more than 50 companies from the Americas learned about three exhibition areas of this year's expo – food and agricultural products, consumer goods, and intelligent industry and information technology – and policies that provide many kinds of support to exhibitors.
According to the CIIE Bureau, nearly 1,900 companies from 26 countries in the region participated in the last four editions of the CIIE.
Preparations for the fifth CIIE are making steady progress, noted the bureau. Nearly 80 percent of the planned business exhibition space has been reserved and more than 260 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders will be in attendance at the expo.
Li Xiaowei, deputy general manager of transaction banking at the Bank of China, said the bank will offer exhibitors a range of financial services, including opening accounts, funds transfer, cash management and cross-border remittances, during the fifth expo.
