Kunming launched an activity on Sept 2 to boost the integration of the blockchain and real economy.

The event gathered blockchain service providers, scientific research institutions, and representatives of real economy enterprises to share their achievements and experiences with the aim of accelerating the development of the local digital economy.

Kunming was approved to create a national blockchain development pilot zone. It will explore initiatives to deploy blockchain to bolster technological innovation and management of the real economy. The city aims to shape itself into an influential blockchain industry base not only in China, but also in South and Southeast Asia.

China has seen progress of blockchain expanding use in increasing fields such as commerce, manufacturing, finance, justice, energy, electricity, and transportation.

Kunming will build a comprehensive development ecosystem for the cutting edge technology and get a development edge from it.
