Chinese and foreign journalists bond at Mid-Autumn Festival event

Two days ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese holiday for family reunion, a reception brightened the festive mood by bringing Chinese and foreign journalists together on Thursday night.
China, with its great changes and socioeconomic developments, can be the source of fresh and inspirational news stories, said Tian Yuhong, executive secretary of the All-China Journalists Association.
Tian also called on international journalists to go deeper and present a true picture of China in their reports.
Beijing can also be the inspiration of good news stories, said Xu Hejian, deputy director of the Publicity Department of Beijing.
Xu, promoting the capital city's innovation-driven and green development pattern, said Beijing will continue to open up to journalists.
The event, jointly organized by the All-China Journalists Association and the Information Office of Beijing Municipality, attracted Chinese and foreign journalists and Beijing-based embassy staffers.
