Sanya will launch the China (South China Sea) Sanya Fishing Festival on Aug 16 at the Yazhou Central Fishing Port.

This three-day event promises an exciting lineup of activities, including the South China Sea Fisheries Exhibition, a leisure fishing forum, and a fishing village sports competition!

The summer fishing ban, an important measure for conserving fishery resources, lasts from May 1 to Aug 15 this year. To celebrate the end of this ban, this fishing festival has become a beloved tradition in Yazhou.

On the same day, the Yazhou Central Fishing Port Seafood Trading Center, the main venue of the festival, will hold its opening ceremony.

The trading aims to become a commercial complex that integrates fishing, tourism, seafood, marine culture, and exhibitions. It will enrich tourists' choices by connecting with nearby tourist attractions, such as Nanshan Temple and Daxiao Dongtian.
