Former senior official of Southwest China's Guizhou arrested

BEIJING -- Zhang Ping, a former senior anti-graft official in Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been arrested on suspicion of taking bribes, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said in a statement on Wednesday.
The case has been handed over to prosecutors for examination and prosecution following the conclusion of an investigation by the National Commission of Supervision, the SPP said.
Zhang was formerly deputy head of Guizhou's discipline inspection commission and provincial commission of supervision. Further investigation into this case is underway.
