The 15th Beijing International Film Festival's tech section opened on Monday at the China Science and Technology Museum's giant-screen cinema, merging technology and art to help build a new ecosystem for science-themed cinema.
Co-organized by the China Science and Technology Museum, the Chinese Society of Natural Science Museums, and the BIFF Committee, the event brought together more than 200 delegates, tech-film enterprises, and research institutions under the theme "Our Science Films."
This year marks the 130th anniversary of world cinema and the 120th year of Chinese cinema. The ceremony also celebrated 15 years of BIFF's special effects film showcase.
