Huangshan University (HSU) earned its third consecutive UN Tourism TedQual Education Quality Certification by the United Nations Tourism Organization on May 7, 2025. In addition to renewed accreditation for its Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, and Gastronomy & Nutrition Education programs, HSU's Event Management program received certification for the first time. Anhui-based HSU now joins a select group of Chinese universities that have secured three rounds of TedQual accreditation, highlighting its prominent role in international tourism education.

The UN Tourism TedQual Certification, a gold standard for evaluating global tourism education, assesses program quality, operational excellence and the internationalization of talent, all in an effort to advance global development of tourism education, training and research.

Since first earning accreditation in 2016 and successfully renewing it in 2020 and 2024, HSU has continuously demonstrated outstanding performance across key indicators, including graduate employability, faculty development, academic management and a strong commitment to tourism ethics. Certification expert Antonio Carles spoke highly of the university's distinctive international outlook, achievements in industry-academia collaboration, and standards of academic management.

This recognition aligns with China's ongoing emphasis on integrating culture and tourism as a national development priority. HSU has actively promoted culture and tourism integration while expanding its global reach. It has established partnerships with institutions such as Vatel Hotel and Tourism Business School in France and Griffith University in Australia and launched joint undergraduate dual-degree and postgraduate programs that further enhance HSU's global profile and the quality of its tourism disciplines.
