State Grid powers summer wheat harvest in Jiaxing

As golden wheat fields ripple in the summer breeze, harvesters roar to life, and the rhythm of a fruitful season plays across the countryside. To ensure a safe and uninterrupted power supply during this critical wheat harvesting period, State Grid Jiaxing Power Supply Company is going the extra mile, literally, by walking through the fields to deliver dependable electricity and dedicated services.
On June 5, workers from the State Grid Jiaxing Power Supply Company conducted inspections of power lines near the wheat fields of Yunfei Farm in Tongyuan town, Haiyan county, Jiaxing city of Zhejiang province. They met with major grain producers to better understand their electricity needs during the wheat harvest, providing tailored support to guarantee electrical safety and reliability.
With the summer harvest season in full swing, the company has rolled out a proactive plan to ensure the smooth and stable power supply. Teams have been dispatched into the heart of the farmlands, employing a combination of manual and drone patrols to inspect and maintain power infrastructure surrounding wheat fields and grain drying centers. Any potential electrical hazards are promptly identified and addressed, securing power stability throughout the harvesting and drying processes. To prepare for peak hours of electricity usage, night inspections are also being conducted to ensure equipment continues operating safely.
In the fields, four harvesters work at full throttle, cutting golden wheat under a bright sky. Meanwhile, power company staff traverse the same paths, offering on-site guidance, distributing safety tips, and posting friendly service reminders in visible spots. They also inspect local power lines to prevent disruptions, helping to safeguard the harvest with a multi-pronged approach.
To accommodate the farmers’ diverse electricity needs during the harvest, the company has opened a dedicated “Summer Harvest Green Channel” to streamline electricity access and installation. Service personnel have been assigned for direct farmer support, with mobile service points set up in the fields. These points distribute convenience service cards and function as a “heart-to-heart” bridge between utility providers and agricultural communities.
In anticipation of any unexpected situations, multiple emergency repair teams have been placed on 24-hour standby, ready to respond at a moment’s notice. The company is also leveraging social media groups and village broadcasts to promote safety awareness, including tips on avoiding electrical hazards and preventing accidental damage.
Through their all-weather, zero-distance approach to service, State Grid Jiaxing Power Supply Company is ensuring the summer harvest continues smoothly, lighting the way for rural revitalization and a golden season of abundance.
