Influencers from around globe begin discovery tour of Ningxia

More than 30 domestic and foreign influencers from countries including Iran, Sri Lanka and the UK arrived in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region on Tuesday for a local tour.
Organized by the State Council Information Office, the delegation will use the nine-day visit to explore Yinchuan, Wuzhong and Zhongwei to witness economic progress, cultural heritage and natural landscapes.
According to organizers, the tour will highlight the region's rising prosperity, which is driven by its booming agricultural industries.
Ningxia is now the leading estate wine producing region in China, with half of all domestic bottles emanating from there. Near the northern Helan Mountain, 600,000 mu (40,000 hectares) of vineyards yield 140 million bottles annually, earning it global fame as a "golden zone" for winemaking.
The region also supplies a quarter of China's goji berries and holds the country's only national certification for medicinal-edible goji. More than 120 innovative goji-based products, from health foods to cosmetics, are made locally.
