In Zhonghua village, Jingguan township of Chongqing's Beibei district, a former stone quarry has evolved into a model of sustainable development in recent years through fruit cultivation and rural tourism.
The once barren quarry is now a lively green landscape featuring over 20 hectares of peach and plum trees. Complemented by the Jibai Villa, a nationally recognized A-level tourist homestay inn, the site has become a popular rural tourism destination. According to Zhou Song, the owner of the homestay, it attracts up to a thousand visitors daily during peak seasons and has created nearly 30 jobs for local villagers.
