The first promotional event dedicated to optimizing the power business environment in the Yangtze River Delta was recently held at the Yuandian Watertown Living Room located at the intersections of Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces.

At the event, the State Grid Jiashan County Power Supply Company, together with the State Grid Shanghai Qingpu Power Supply Company and the State Grid Suzhou Wujiang Power Supply Company, jointly released 15 harmonized measures to improve the power business environment across the Yangtze River Delta Demonstration Zone. The initiative includes a new pledge under the "Better Power Use" commitment and a comprehensive "Beneficial Power Use" service package.

Focusing on four key areas—shortening timeframes, reducing costs, strengthening the grid, and enhancing services—the three companies introduced measures such as contract-based power connections, expanding the coverage of low-voltage "zero-investment" access, deepening cross-regional services that integrate electricity, water, and gas under a unified application, and implementing "restore power first, repair later" practices. By aligning their advanced experiences in optimizing the electricity business environment, the companies aim to deliver world-class power services across the Yangtze River Delta region.

During the event, the three power companies also signed strategic framework agreements on contract-based power connections with seven enterprises, including Alibaba Group. Under the principle of "contract spirit driving energy efficiency", both sides committed to defining power connection deadlines, planning project timelines in reverse order, optimizing resource allocation, and sharing development responsibilities, thereby establishing a proactive service matrix where "power waits for customers".

Since the Yangtze River Delta integration was elevated to a national strategy in 2018, the power companies of Qingpu, Wujiang and Jiashan have been jointly exploring grid collaboration mechanisms to achieve mutual support, interconnection, and shared backup across the demonstration zone. This latest initiative seeks to provide businesses in the region with faster, smarter and more precise electricity services, further enhancing the business environment in the integrated Yangtze River Delta.
