At the 2025 WIC Cultural Heritage Digitalization Forum, experts and practitioners discussed how technology is reshaping cultural preservation. Among the participants was Su Qi who shared her impressions in an interview.

Su said her strongest takeaway was that "the undertaking of digital cultural heritage protection should be the mission of our time and should resonate around the world." She was impressed by the Yungang Grottoes project, which applies muon imaging technology — a method similar to CT scanning — to monitor the internal structure of relics and provide preventive conservation.

She noted that cultural heritage protection, as a common cause of humanity, requires international collaboration and greater public participation so that people can become "not only bystanders, but also participants and creators."

The forum showcased how digital tools are opening new possibilities for cultural heritage protection, offering both technological innovation and a shared global vision.
