The Shiyang River National Wetland Park in Minqin county, Wuwei, Gansu province, is presenting a breathtaking autumnal scene of ecological and visual harmony.
Located 30 kilometers from the county seat, the wetland stretches 31 km from north to south and spans 6,175 hectares. It is divided into four functional zones: conservation, restoration, education, and rational use. As a model of a river?desert reservoir wetland in an arid region, it has become a vital "paradise" and "gene bank" for desert flora and fauna.

Along the river, autumn unfolds in all its glory: golden Euphrates poplars, bright red tamarisk, and lingering green willow trees blend under a clear blue sky. The winding Shiyang River reflects waterbirds and silverberry bushes, creating a picturesque landscape at every turn. With rustling leaves and gentle flowing water, the area radiates tranquility and color.
A visit to the Shiyang River National Wetland Park not only offers a close encounter with the unique ecology of desert and water but also a chance to immerse oneself in the singular beauty of Minqin autumn.
