double-double in 10 games this season, Steve Nash added 23 points and nine
assists, and the
In winning consecutive home games for the first time this season, the Suns
improved to 5-5. Toronto, which lost its first nine games before beating Miami,
fell to 1-10.
Reserves Eddie House added 14 points and Boris Diaw had 11 for the Suns, who
finished with their lowest point total of the season.
Chris Bosh led Toronto with 23 points, but missed his eighth consecutive
double-double by grabbing only eight rebounds. Mike James had 13 points for
Toronto and Matt Bonner scored 12.
Phoenix didn't break open the game until late in the fourth quarter. Trailing
77-76, the Suns ran off 12 straight points, six each by Marion and Nash, for an
88-77 lead.
Both teams shot poorly in the first half and combined for 21 turnovers. The
Suns, one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the league, were 0-for-12 from
that range but still led 42-38 at the break.
