《個(gè)人所得稅法修正案（草案）》23日提交十屆全國人大常委會(huì)第十七次會(huì)議進(jìn)行首次審議。修改主要涉及兩項(xiàng)內(nèi)容：將工薪所得減除費(fèi)用標(biāo)準(zhǔn)從800元提高到1500元；以減輕中低工薪收入者的稅收負(fù)擔(dān)；要求高收入者自行申報(bào)納稅，對其稅收進(jìn)行交叉稽核。報(bào)道如下：
China's top legislature on Tuesday started to deliberate on the draft amendment to the personal
income tax law, a major move that experts see is meant to narrow the
widening gap between the country's rich and poor.
The draft amendment includes lifting the tax collection starting line
from 800 yuan (98.8 US dollars) to 1,500 yuan (185 US dollars) and
forcibly asking high-income groups to file tax returns and pay taxes
themselves.
文中的"deliberate" means to think or talk seriously and carefully about
something. deliberate 常與on搭配，意思為"審議；仔細(xì)研究"。如：The jury took five days to
deliberate on the case.（陪審團(tuán)花了五天時(shí)間來研討此案。）又如：He's deliberating whether or
not to accept the new job that he's been offered.（他在慎重考慮要不要接受人家提供的新工作。）此外，"個(gè)人所得稅"的英文表達(dá)就是 "personal income
tax"。
