Clean sweep通常解釋為“徹底掃除、清除”，如：When they reorganized the company, they
made a clean sweep of all the holdovers. 當他們重新改組公司時，撤換了所有的留用人員。
而在體育比賽中，clean sweep 可引申為“全勝、壓倒性的勝利”。
例如：We got several first prizes in the sport meet, which was a clean
sweep this time.（我們在運動會上得了好幾個第一名，這次是大勝了。）
