1. England drew 2-2 with Sweden on Tuesday.
常有朋友問"戰(zhàn)平、打成平局"怎么說，其實(shí)就是draw這個(gè)詞。Draw做動(dòng)詞時(shí)有“打成平手/局”的意思，做名詞時(shí)有“平局，平手”的意思。比如：美國(guó)1比1戰(zhàn)平意大利就可以說成：The
Unites States drew 1-1 with Italy. 還可以用名詞來表示：The United States held Italy to a
1-1 draw.
2. After an opening 0-0 tie with Trinidad & Tobago, Sweden appeared to be
on the verge of another scoreless draw.
瑞典的晉級(jí)之路走得也不是一帆風(fēng)順。開局是0比0戰(zhàn)平特立尼達(dá)和多巴哥。第二局也僅以1比0戰(zhàn)勝巴拉圭。
“平局”除了draw之外，還可以說成tie。Tie 表示“平局”既可以做名詞也可以做動(dòng)詞。做名詞時(shí)講“平局”就可以說成 (number) -
(number) tie with ... 做動(dòng)詞講的tie也可以表示“平局”，比如“英格蘭戰(zhàn)平瑞典”就可以說成是 England tied
Sweden 2-2 to win Group B.
3. Henrik Larsson brought the scores level again after a long throw deceived
the defence.
說到英格蘭和瑞典的這場(chǎng)比賽，那可是一波未平、一波又起。英格蘭兩次領(lǐng)先，都被瑞典人扳平了比分。這個(gè)“扳平比分”就可以說成 bring the scores
level。Put the scores level 也有同樣的意思，比如：Sweden striker Marcus Allback headed in a
corner kick to pull the scores level at 1-1.
Level還可以做動(dòng)詞來表示“拉平比分”，比如：
Thierry Henry scored in the ninth minute for
France's first World Cup goal since the 1998 final, only to see South Korea's
Park Ji-sung level it in the 81st minute.
4. The United States pulled it even thanks to an own goal five minutes later.
美國(guó)隊(duì)能戰(zhàn)平意大利實(shí)在要?dú)w功于意大利球員的烏龍球。
Even 作形容詞的時(shí)候有“平手的，比分相等的”的意思，因此“扳平比分”也可以說成是pull ... even。

Equalizer 可以表示“足球比賽中扳平比分的得分”。它的動(dòng)詞equalize
用在足球比賽中是“打成平局”的意思?！绊n國(guó)和多哥在第54分鐘戰(zhàn)平”也可以說成South Korean equalized with Togo in the
54th minute.
Equalize還可以用分詞形式來修飾名詞。比如在韓國(guó)和法國(guó)的那場(chǎng)比賽中，有一個(gè)新聞報(bào)道是這么說的：

Park Ji-sung scored the equalizing goal in the 81st minute to grab a crucial
point for South Korea after Thierry Henry had given France the lead in the
ninth.
