張口閉口“我媽說(shuō)”，工資全部上交給媽媽，凡事都是媽媽說(shuō)了算。這樣的好兒子估計(jì)每個(gè)媽媽都喜歡吧？仿佛他們又回到了兒子叼著奶嘴的階段，萬(wàn)事都要媽媽打理。難道這就是他們被稱為“奶嘴男“的原因”？

Mother's boy, also mummy's boy or mama's boy, is a term for a man who is excessively attached to his mother at an age when men are expected to be independent (e.g. live on their own, be economically independent).

Mother’s boy（或者mummy’s boy、mama’s boy）就是我們俗稱的“奶嘴男”，指到了應(yīng)該獨(dú)立生活的年紀(jì)還對(duì)母親過(guò)度依賴的男人。

Being mother-bonded is sometimes seen as a sign of weakness, and has a social stigma attached to it in many places, although in other places it may be more acceptable or perceived as normal. A mother-bonded man is seen to give control of his own life to his mother, in exchange for a sense of security.

這種“戀母”情節(jié)有時(shí)被視作軟弱的標(biāo)志，在很多場(chǎng)合都可能成為讓男人喪失顏面的事情，雖然在別的一些場(chǎng)合，這樣的情節(jié)可能沒(méi)什么大不了。與母親關(guān)系密切的男人其實(shí)是將自己的生活控制權(quán)完全交給母親，來(lái)?yè)Q取一份安全感。

Alternatively, in recent years, some have begun using the term in a milder sense, merely meaning a man who is emotionally attached to his mother. Though this sense of the phrase is still uncommon compared to the original pejorative intent, mothers in particular may state their pride in their "mama's boy" sons.

不過(guò)，近幾年，“奶嘴男”的指向沒(méi)有原來(lái)那么飽含貶義了，多指那些在感情上比較依賴母親的男人。雖說(shuō)這種新的解讀沒(méi)有原意那么普及，不過(guò)不管怎樣，媽媽們都會(huì)以有個(gè)“奶嘴男”兒子而驕傲的。
