For Wang, the wheels of progress did not stop, as he had been considering how to make more money to provide local farmers with a stable income and help lift them out of poverty for a well-off life.
He also set up a super rice farmer professional cooperative to help farmers sell and process unhusked rice. The cooperative bought rice 30 percent higher than the market price and ensured zero risk for the rice harvest, bringing high production and income to locals.
Luo Xiaoyan, head of Yanggu'ao township, affirmed Wang's efforts in building the demonstration base and promoting the super rice growth as "bringing genuine benefits to local farmers".
"Farmers' earnings increased as their agricultural products sold well on the market. They also made money developing rural tourism by opening household inns and a sightseeing base to attract tourists," said Luo.
"It's a great honor for a farmer like me to be elected as a CPC delegate. I will help more to master scientific farming skills for better-off lives in the countryside," said Wang.
