Recommended cold weather clothing map released

The cold air will be expanding to southern parts of China after Jan 25, with many areas' temperatures falling to below zero degrees Celsius. It is suggested people in southern areas wear warm clothes and cotton-padded trousers, since there is no central heating provided and people do not have the habit of wearing such trousers in the south.
It is predicted that this round of cold temperatures will not end, even after Jan 26. Influenced by supplemental cold air, the temperatures in most parts of China will continue falling from Jan 27 to 30. The lowest temperatures in Guangxi's northern areas, Guangdong's northern areas and Fujian's northern areas will also be below zero degrees Celsius.
However, there are still some areas in China which will be warm during this period, with a high temperature around above 30 degrees Celsius, such as Hainan's southern area and Yunan's Xishuangbanna. Residents here should be wary — not of cold temperatures, but that they might be punched by their jealous friends farther north if they post selfies wearing only shorts and sandals.
Compared to the impressive cold wave in January 2016, this one will take longer to dissipate, with temperatures falling gradually according to Bao Yuanyuan, a senior engineer working at the China Meteorological Administration.
