Xi meets with HKSAR chief executive

President Xi Jinping on Monday voiced the full recognition of the central government to Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, saying she showcased courage and a sense of responsibility during a special period in the region.
Xi's remarks came as he heard a report from Lam on the region's situation and the work of the special administrative region government at the Zhongnanhai leadership compound in Beijing.
