Firm supporting Hubei with feminine care products

Hengan Group has donated another batch of feminine hygiene products and adult diapers to Hubei province, the epicenter of the novel coronavirus, from Fujian on Tuesday.
More than half of the medical workers on the front line are women, and females make up over 90 percent of nurses. Most female medical workers wear productive suits for hours on end, leaving some experiencing menstrual cycle inconvenience.

In addition to medical supplies including protective clothing and surgical masks, some feminine care products are also in short supply on the front line due to the lockdowns in the province.
Xu Lianjie, head of Hengan Group, a company specializing in personal hygiene products, pitched in to support women fighting the virus in Hubei, promising to help them with feminine hygiene products at no charge.
The firm donated 2.6 million units of tampons and 200,000 period panties on Tuesday and will cooperate with relevant departments in Hubei to directly send these supplies to hospitals in need.

After the outbreak of the epidemic, Xu pledged to support the battle without expecting anything in return. So far, Hengan has donated supplies and cash valued at over 11 million yuan ($1.57 million), including disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizers, adult diapers, period panties and tissues. In addition, the firm also revamped their factories to churn out masks and protective suits.
