Top political advisory body launches online platform to gather opinions for annual session


BEIJING -- The 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on Friday launched a platform on its website to solicit opinions for its upcoming third session.
It marks the first time an annual session of the CPPCC National Committee opens the floor to the public online for their opinions and suggestions.
The platform will further enhance the communication between the public and the organization and members of the CPPCC, as well as provide a way for netizens to keep an eye on the work of the CPPCC, according to the national committee.
The suggestions will be summarized and sorted by the general office of the CPPCC National Committee and serve as a reference for political advisors.
The annual session of the CPPCC National Committee was previously proposed to open on May 21.
