A lawyer surnamed Chan was brutally assaulted and injured for trying to reason with a gang of radical protesters erecting roadblocks in Hong Kong's busiest district of Causeway Bay on Sunday. The victim was later rushed to hospital covered in blood.
The Law Society of Hong Kong, in which Chan holds a membership, strongly condemned the act of atrocity and called for an immediate end to violence in the city.
