Shanghai reports two new COVID cases

Shanghai reported one new locally confirmed COVID-19 case in the city's Jiading district and one asymptomatic infection in Pudong New Area on Thursday, the city's health authorities said at a news briefing.
Both infections were sent to a designated hospital for treatment and medical observation. All close contacts and secondary contacts of the cases have been identified and quarantined, with all testing negative so far.
Considering the National Day holiday will end soon and residents will go back to work and study, the city will continue to conduct nucleic acid screening at all communities on Thursday and Friday.
The health authorities also reminded all people who will travel back to the city to take a nucleic acid test upon arrival and follow COVID-19 prevention measures.
