Urumqi, the capital of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, will gradually resume public transport, including railway, civil aviation, taxi and bus, starting from Monday, according to a media conference held on Sunday by the city's government.
The local COVID-19 prevention and control headquarters made the decision based on the latest developments of the epidemic, said the media conference.
The city will also resume the operations of facilities related to people's daily lives such as supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, and banks in areas identified as having a low risk of COVID outbreak from Monday.
