Temple of Earth book fair kicks off in Beijing

The "Temple of Earth and Me" book fair opened in Beijing on Friday. Located in Ditan Park, also known as the Temple of Earth, the 11-day event covers an area of 15,000 square meters and has attracted 208 exhibitors, showcasing more than 400,000 kinds of books in eight special sections.
Over 100 cultural activities will be held and some writers will be there to share their thoughts of masterpieces with readers, the organizer said.
The book fair began in 1993 and has become a welcomed cultural event for local residents.
