The new site of the Inner Mongolia Museum opened for trial operations on June 20, offering visitors a stunning new space to explore regional and global civilizations.

The new building is located about three kilometers east of the original site and spans 147,000 square meters, 2.3 times that of the old building. Its exhibition area reaches 39,000 sq m, more than double the previous capacity.

The four-story facility includes exhibition halls, educational spaces, cultural product zones, dining and service areas, and rest areas. It can now accommodate up to 29,000 visitors at a time, compared to the former 8,000.

On the opening day, the museum received 25,095 visitors.

The museum features 10 main exhibitions with over 3,000 artifacts, including 633 precious cultural relics. These exhibits showcase the rich history of interaction, integration, and shared development among the ethnic groups that have inhabited Inner Mongolia, highlighting their collective contributions to the development of Chinese civilization.

Each exhibition space is uniquely designed with themed lighting, background effects, and digital installations, including immersive soundscapes and screen displays, to enhance the visitor experience.

Technological innovation plays a central role in the museum's appeal. A standout feature is Hongge'er, a holographic AI guide trained on vast cultural datasets using the DeepSeek model. With lightning-fast response times and an engaging personality, Hongge'er brings exhibits to life through interactive storytelling.

To improve accessibility, the museum has deployed over 1,000 multilingual audio guide devices supporting Mongolian, Chinese, and English, with smart Q&A functions to ensure every visitor enjoys a smooth and enriching journey through history.
