Iran condemns Israel's lethal attack on hospital in Gaza

TEHRAN - Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei on Monday strongly condemned a deadly Israeli attack earlier in the day on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The attack, in which at least 20 Palestinians, including five journalists, were killed and several others injured, was a "heinous crime", he said in a statement.
Baghaei said the "brutal bombing was a war crime" designed and perpetrated by Israel in line with its "genocide" plan against Palestinians to eliminate Palestine as a nation and identity.
The relevant international organizations' inaction in the face of Israel's "flagrant violations of human and humanitarian rights in Gaza and the West Bank is disgraceful", he said, highlighting the legal and moral responsibility of all governments to stop the "genocide" against Palestinians and punish Israeli "criminals".
Nasser Hospital is the last remaining partially functional hospital in southern Gaza.
