Track replacement to enhance safety

Chinese railway operators have intensified efforts to bolster transport safety. The Taiyuan-Zhongwei railway, a quick rail corridor carrying passengers and freight, serves as a lifeline for the people of Lyuliang area in Shanxi province for transport out of the mountains. To boost rail safety, China Railway Taiyuan Group has asked Taiyuan High-speed Railway Engineering Section to replace a part of its ballast-less tracks running for 1.6 kilometers. The section dispatched 15 master staff members to replace the tracks inside the Lyuliang Mountain Tunnel, and they completed the job in three days when the trains were not operating.
