如今，英國(guó)大學(xué)招生競(jìng)爭(zhēng)越來(lái)越激烈，為了爭(zhēng)取生源，很多大學(xué)都積極改進(jìn)校園設(shè)備，為學(xué)生提供不少貼心設(shè)施。近日，圣安德魯斯大學(xué)就別出心裁，為學(xué)生推出“無(wú)酒精”宿舍(alcohol-free accommodation)。

The move from St Andrews University is thought to be the first time alcohol-free student accommodation has been offered in Scotland.
圣安德魯斯大學(xué)成為蘇格蘭首個(gè)向?qū)W生提供“無(wú)酒精”宿舍的大學(xué)。

The alcohol-free accommodation has been introduced to cater for students with religious beliefs or medical conditions that do not allow drinking.
推出“無(wú)酒精”宿舍是為了滿(mǎn)足那些由于宗教原因或健康原因不能飲酒的學(xué)生的需求。

It will be offered from September, 2015. The flats each hold between four to six people.
“無(wú)酒精”公寓將從今年9月開(kāi)始提供。每套公寓里能容納四到六人。

Pat Mathewson, St Andrews Students' Association, said: "Our residential services have decided they will offer a small section and then see what the uptake is like. We're always in favor of anything that will make our students more comfortable. "
圣安德魯斯大學(xué)學(xué)生會(huì)的帕特·馬修森表示，他們的住宿服務(wù)準(zhǔn)備先提供一小部分這類(lèi)宿舍，看需求如何。學(xué)生會(huì)歡迎任何可以使學(xué)生感到更舒適的措施。
