單位附近的學(xué)校門(mén)口一到上下學(xué)的時(shí)間就會(huì)有些擁堵，倒不是因?yàn)閷W(xué)生太多，而是接送的家長(zhǎng)太密集。放眼望去，幾乎每個(gè)稚嫩的身影旁邊都會(huì)跟著一個(gè)拎著書(shū)包和水壺的大人影。到了周末，這一對(duì)身影還有可能會(huì)出現(xiàn)在鋼琴、繪畫(huà)、舞蹈或者武術(shù)教室的門(mén)口。在國(guó)外，這種接送的任務(wù)一般都有媽媽來(lái)完成，而且她們還有個(gè)特別的稱(chēng)呼——soccer mom。
The phrase soccer mom generally refers to a married middle-class woman who lives in the suburbs and has school age children. She is sometimes portrayed in the media as busy or overburdened and driving a minivan. She is also portrayed as putting the interests of her family, and most importantly her children, ahead of her own.
Soccer mom（足球媽媽?zhuān)┮话阒讣易〗紖^(qū)、已婚、并且家中學(xué)齡兒童的中產(chǎn)階級(jí)女性。媒體有時(shí)候會(huì)把這類(lèi)女性描述為忙碌或不堪重負(fù)，并且時(shí)常開(kāi)一輛小型貨車(chē)。此外，足球媽媽們給人的印象是把家庭的利益，尤其是孩子的利益看得比自己的利益更重要。
The phrase soccer mom derives from the literal, specific description of a mother who transports and watches her children play soccer. It was also used in names of organizations of mothers who raised money to support their children's soccer teams.
Soccer mom（足球媽媽?zhuān)┻@個(gè)短語(yǔ)最初用來(lái)描述那些開(kāi)車(chē)載孩子去踢足球并在一旁觀看的媽媽們，這個(gè)稱(chēng)呼也會(huì)用在媽媽們自發(fā)為孩子的足球隊(duì)集資的組織名稱(chēng)中。
