The 2025 China-Central Asia Young Engineers Exchange Activity commenced on Aug 20 in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. The event is co-hosted by the Chinese Society of Engineers and the Central Asian Association for Accreditation of Education.

It brings together over 80 energy and power engineering experts and young engineers from China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan to foster cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

A key highlight was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between CSE and CAAAE. Furthermore, a major joint initiative was launched to promote the establishment of a China-Central Asia Regional Power Standardization Organization.

The agenda includes thematic reports on engineering innovation and standard coordination, alongside technical visits to local energy facilities for firsthand experience of advanced Chinese technologies in power transmission.

This exchange is a significant step in deepening practical energy collaboration and strengthening people-to-people ties between China and Central Asia.
